Prehnite is a variation of a silicate mineral that rarely forms individual crystals. It is more commonly found as stalactites and botryoidal clusters.  It is comprised of calcium and aluminum and is most commonly green but has been discovered in shades of yellow, blue, pink, orange, white, and even colorless. It was first discovered in 1788 in Cradock, South Africa by a Cutch mineralogist by the name Hendrik von Prehn. This is where its name is derived from.

Chemical Formula: Ca₂Al₂Si₃O₁₂ (OH)

Commonly found in Namibia, South Africa, Mali, Canada, China, Germany, France, and the United States.
